Under this thematic area, WAYDS empowers Women, Youth and, Children to become friends of the Environmental Conservation in their societies. WAYDS makes the following interventions so as to promote Environmental Conservation;

• Environmental education and awareness focusing on importance of Smart farming, Fruits farming, Beekeeping and Nutritious trees so as to protect health status of the people and also provision of community sensitization on importance of environmental conservation for the present and future generation.
• Promoting the renewable energy uses to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and help clean up the environment for future generations.
• Supporting local government efforts to promote solar irrigation.
• Promoting a combination of value-addition and renewable energy generation in a single tool. Amplifying girls and women’s voices in conservation; WAYDS promote the enhancement of women and girls in leadership roles in conservation.
• Promote the use of Photovoltaics (solar electric panels) to power farm operations and remote water pumps.
• Engaging men and boys as champions for gender equality, and Trainings on how to promote the engagement of women in conservation.
• Mobilizing different conservation and non-conservation value chains community groups and support them to register as Community Conservation Enterprises (CCEs).
