The Mental Health Huduma is a community-centered focus by WAYDS to
improve access to mental health services, education, and support in underserved
regions of Tanzania. The program addresses both prevention and care, ensuring
that individuals, families, and communities have the resources they need to
thrive.

Awareness: Campaigns, school outreach, and dialogue forums to reduce
stigma and improve knowledge.

Access: Linking individuals to counseling, psychosocial support, and
referral systems through partnerships with health facilities; Schools.

Innovation: Use of USSD, SMS platforms, and online tools to expand
mental health education and support across remote communities.
- Emergency
Response: Providing mental health support during crises such as
climate disasters or infectious disease outbreaks.
Impact
